Senior School (15-18 Years)

Where Dreams Take Flight. Where Futures Are Forged. Achieving Excellence for All — Right Here in Barrackpore.

At Douglas Memorial Higher Secondary School, Senior School is not just the final phase of schooling — it's the launchpad to life. Across Classes 10 to 12, our focus is sharp, our support is strong, and our belief in every student is unshakable. For over 41 years, families across Barrackpore have trusted us with their children’s most important years — and we’ve delivered, not just with top results, but with future-ready leaders, thinkers, and achievers. We blend rigorous academic preparation — including focused coaching for board and competitive exams — with a deeply personalised approach. Every child matters here. Every dream is heard. Every effort is guided. Our educators are mentors, our classrooms are safe havens, and our learning environment is designed to unlock potential and spark ambition. But what sets Douglas apart is our vision — to ensure no child is left behind. We don’t select only the top performers — we shape them. We don’t just teach to test — we teach for life. Because at Douglas, Excellence is not for a few. It is for all. Rooted in the heart of Barrackpore, we continue to build futures with purpose, pride, and perseverance — one student at a time. This is Douglas. This is where tomorrow begins.

Our Approach for Senior School

Personalized Learning Plans

Each student is unique, and so are their learning needs. At DMHSS, regular assessments, project work, and practical sessions enhance learning. We develop personalised learning plans tailored to the strengths and weaknesses of each student to ensure that every student scores above 75% in the Board exams.

Dedicated Mentorship

Our experienced teachers serve as dedicated mentors, providing one-on-one guidance and support. Regular mentoring sessions help students stay on track with their studies, clarify doubts, and build confidence.

Targeted Coaching and Extra Classes

We conduct dedicated coaching for board exams, competitive exams, and University entrance exams. Remedial classes and doubt-clearing sessions ensure all students keep pace.

Continuous Assessments and Feedback

Regular quizzes, mock tests, and practice exams help students familiarise themselves with the exam pattern and time management.

Stress Management and  Career Counseling

Board exams can be stressful, and we prioritise the mental well-being of our students. Our counseling services offer support in managing exam stress, building resilience, and maintaining a positive mindset.

Parental Involvement

We believe in a collaborative approach to education. Regular communication with parents ensures they are informed about their child's progress and can provide support at home.
